(Premium Tonkotsu White)
A very popular chain ramen restaurant from Tokyo Ebisu delivers the “Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen” with their premium Tonkotsu soup cooked for over 10 hours, blended with their special Shoyu sauce. They also offer “Chicken Ramen” using a whole chicken for the broth.
(Cha Cha Cha)
There is a ramen restaurant called "Jinya" on the intersection of Church St. and Carlton St. There are 4 locations already in Vancouver, but this is the first one in Toronto. The general atmosphere is very well because of their modern interiors and the friendly staff.
We, being garlic lovers, had the "Cha Cha Cha" and the "Premium Tonkotsu White". The thick noodles in "Cha Cha Cha" had a very firm texture and it had lots of Cha-Shu! The oily soup + thick noodles was indeed a perfect match. If you want something heavy, this could be the one to try.
As for the "Premium Tonkotsu White", the soup had a light but not too light flavour and was very easy to eat. The thin noodles blended together with the rich soup was just plainly beautiful.
It had a fairly standard portion and had a big Cha-Shu on top.
Jinya also have a wide variety of side dishes including "Quinoa Salad", "Takoyaki", and "Karaage"(fried chicken).
Next time, I would like to try the most popular "Spicy Chicken Ramen" and the "Brussels Sprout Tempura".
