Motomachi Shokudo (元町食堂)
The ramen restaurant is located on Denman Street and it has been loved by locals. They do not use MSG for their soup. Like organic chicken, they use fresh and organic ingredients, so this place is popular for health-conscious locals as well.
The soup is made from organic chicken and vegetables, so it’s perfect for health-conscious Vancouverites. They have Shio, Shoyu and miso. The soup was light and refreshing. The noodles were straight, bouncy in texture. Even the chashu was less-fat, making you feel nice and full, yet unbloated.
I am from the birthplace of Tonkotsu Ramen, but I fell in love with their healthy light soup.
I heard it could be crowded on Monday because of their sister store Kintaro Ramen one block away closed.
